  Standards Awareness Essential for All: Shri Chand Sharma On World Standards Day, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Noida branch organized a Stakeholders' Conclave at Hotel Gaur Sarovar Premier. The event was part of the Standard Festival celebrations. Vidhayak Shri Chand Sharma , the chief guest, emphasized the importance of consumers paying attention to BIS-certified quality marks during purchases. He stressed that standards awareness is crucial for everyone and suggested a large-scale awareness campaign to achieve this. District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma urged entrepreneurs and manufacturers to adhere to quality standards and consumers to be aware of BIS regulations to avoid exploitation. He praised BIS's policies and work system for consumer protection.  Accordingly, Bureau of Indian Standards, Noida Branch conducted a training programme for Youth-to-Youth Connect Campaign to the Students (Manak Mitra) of IMS Noida. Training programme was conducted by salaam namaste community radio and Bureau of Indian Standards. The campaign is undertaken through the network of youth volunteers, called the Manak Mitra. These volunteers will share the information about BIS activities, role of BIS in consumer protection with students, youths and also making them aware about the bis care app and it's importance in everyday life Bureau of Indian standard, refers to the youth lead campaign aimed at promoting standard and quality awareness among youth .   Bureau of Indian Standards Ghaziabad Branch Office Organizes Grand Standard Festival on World Standards Day The Ghaziabad branch office of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) organized a grand Standard Festival on the occasion of World Standards Day on October 14, 2024, at Hotel SK Clyde Grand. Inauguration The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the chief guest Dr. R.K. Tyagi (Deputy Director General, Central Region, BIS), Padma Shri Ustad Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar (Indian classical singer of the Dhrupad style), and Shri Nikhil Pran (Director, Pran Comics Publication).   World Standard Day 5 K Run- A run for better future World Standards Day, celebrated annually on October 14th, honors the efforts of experts who develop international standards. These standards ensure quality, safety, and efficiency across various industries.  A "quality run" on World Standards Day is an event or initiative focused on raising awareness about the importance of Indian standards in maintaining product and service quality.    Quality Run 2024   A quality run of 5 Km was organized on 13 October by Bureau of Indian Standards, Noida Branch  for the volunteers of "Manak Mahotsav"  A run, to promote not only quality of product and services but also quality of health. The walkathon was all set to begin in the morning, the walkathon started with the flag off symbolizing spirit and verve.  The volunteers lacked no enthusiasm and started with high kick.
