On September 15, 2024, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) authority, in collaboration with Salaam Namaste Community Radio, organized a workshop at Fortune Residency, Rajnagar Extension, Ghaziabad. The event aimed to interact with the public and raise 

Overview of workshop-

The workshop commenced with a welcome address, followed by an enchanting dance performance by students of AK Children Academy NGO. Mr. Priyanshu from BIS authority delivered an insightful speech, highlighting BIS's role in setting standards for products and ensuring quality.

Highlights of speech-

-He emphasized that BIS conducts over 20 RWA events to educate the public about its work.

BIS Sets standard for every , considering factor like consumer habits and climate.

The Indian Standards Institution (ISI) mark was explained as a certification mark confirming products meet Indian Standards. Mr. Priyanshu stressed the significance of the ISI mark in ensuring product quality, safety, and reliability.

The event concluded with an interactive session, where participants engaged with BIS representatives, clarifying doubts and gaining valuable insights. The workshop successfully spread awareness about BIS's initiatives and the importance of quality assurance.

The BIS also provides Hallmark certification for gold and silver jewelry, ensuring purity and authenticity. The Hallmark unique identification (HUID) number allows consumers to verify products through the BIS Care App.

Furthermore, BIS registration marks are assigned to manufacturers/importers, indicating compliance with Indian Standards. This ensures product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The event, featured a captivating poetry recitation session. Teachers Mrs. Anita Sharma and Mrs. Sarika Tyagi took the stage, delivering heartfelt poems that celebrated the theme of "Maa" (Mother). Their soulful renditions resonated deeply with the audience.

Following the poignant poetry recitation, the program took a delightful turn with refreshing refreshments sponsored by AAPNA Khanna. The break provided an opportunity for attendees to mingle and appreciate the artistic expressions they had just witnessed.

Lok Kala Sanskriti Mahakumbh

  Sangeetika Academy of Performing Arts, Delhi in collaboration with Van Kanya Arts and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam  Trust is doing Bhartiya Kala Sanskriti Mahakumbh at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, Delhi during 12-16 November 2026. This event is being organised in memory of renowned Kathak Guru Jitendra Maharaj ji by his disciples primarily by Padma Shri awardee Kathak dancers Nalini Kamalini. This event aims to bring forward the artistic and cultural fabric of India in its full glory. The event will have performances by classical dancers as well as folk dancers.       Swachh Survekshan is an annual survey of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in cities and towns across India, initiated by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM). The survey aims to encourage cities to improve their service delivery to promote cleanliness, waste management, and overall sanitation. In the Swachh Survekshan 2023 rankings, Noida was recognized as the cleanest city in Uttar Pradesh, achieving the 14th position nationally among cities with a population over 1 lakh.
