 World Standard Day 5 K Run- A run for better future


World Standards Day, celebrated annually on October 14th, honors the efforts of experts who develop international standards. These standards ensure quality, safety, and efficiency across various industries.  A "quality run" on World Standards Day is an event or initiative focused on raising awareness about the importance of Indian standards in maintaining product and service quality. 


 Quality Run 2024



 A quality run of 5 Km was organized on 13 October by Bureau of Indian Standards, Noida Branch  for the volunteers of "Manak Mahotsav" 

A run, to promote not only quality of product and services but also quality of health. The walkathon was all set to begin in the morning, the walkathon started with the flag off symbolizing spirit and verve. 

The volunteers lacked no enthusiasm and started with high kick. The walkathon was planned in the route of 5 Km around Noida Stadium.

Deputy Director General of Central Zone,BIS Dr.R.K Tyagi,along with Shree Vikrant(Head,BIS Noida) along with Dr.Laxmi Singh(CBCID,Agra) added to the zeal with her motivating speech conveying importance of BIS quality run and wellbeing of human body.

Students of IMS, Noida were no less in the walkathon and participated enthusiastically early in the morning. They also shared benefits of waking up early morning and having a healthy run to maintain a healthy lifestyle while they also got aware about importance of BIS and World Standard Day.

The students were also given certificate and medals to reward their dedication.

The World Standard Day Quality Run was a great initiative by BIS to spread awareness about Indian Standards while also promoting healthy lifestyle and  wellbeing among youth through the walkathon.
