"Manak Mitra: Quality Leadership"

 Accordingly, Bureau of Indian Standards, Noida Branch conducted a training programme for Youth-to-Youth Connect Campaign to the Students (Manak Mitra) of IMS Noida. Training programme was conducted by salaam namaste community radio and Bureau of Indian Standards.

The campaign is undertaken through the network of youth volunteers, called the Manak Mitra. These volunteers will share the information about BIS activities, role of BIS in consumer protection with students, youths and also making them aware about the bis care app and it's importance in everyday life

Bureau of Indian standard, refers to the youth lead campaign aimed at promoting standard and quality awareness among youth .

Role of Salaam Namaste community Radio

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has partnered with Salaam Namaste Community Radio to launch a comprehensive outreach initiative, aiming to educate consumers about their rights and the importance of BIS standards.

Youth-to-Youth Campaign: Manak Mitra

 BIS will organize a Youth-to-Youth campaign on October 10th, 2024. Last year’s campaign saw 60 students participate as Manak Mitras, successfully completing surveys and reaching out to their communities. These students not only achieved their survey targets but also received stipends from BIS. Notably, some students made a remarkable impact by engaging with over 100 individuals through the survey.

Upcoming Survey

This year, BIS aims to conduct a survey with a Maximum of 60 participants, leveraging the Manak Mitra network to:

1. Promote consumer rights awareness

2. Educate consumers about BIS standards

3. Gather valuable feedback

Objectives:

1. Empower youth to become ambassadors of quality and standards

2. Enhance consumer awareness and education

3. Foster community engagement and participation

Key Highlights:

- Partnership with Salaam Namaste Community Radio

- Youth-to-Youth campaign on October 10th, 2024

- Maximum 50  above participants for the survey

- Building on last year’s success with Manak Mitras
