Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (PM TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan), a community-led initiative in India aimed at eliminating tuberculosis (TB) through community support and engagement.

What it is:

The Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan is a community-led initiative to eliminate TB in India, complementing the government's efforts under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP).

There are many initiatve led by Government of India which are as below:

Ni-kshay Mitra Initiative: This component involves individuals (Ni-kshay Mitras) who support TB patients by providing additional diagnostic, nutritional, and vocational support.

Ni-kshay Digital Portal: This platform facilitates community support for people with TB.

Nikshay Poshan Yojana (NPY): This scheme provides financial assistance of ₹1000 per month to TB patients for nutritional support during treatment.

TB Harega Desh Jeetega Campaign: This campaign aims to raise awareness about TB and promote community involvement in TB elimination.

How it works:

The initiative encourages community participation through the adoption of health facilities, blocks, urban wards, districts, or states by various stakeholders like cooperative societies, corporates, elected representatives, individuals, institutions, non-governmental organizations, political parties, and partners.

Government's Role:

The Government of India provides free diagnostics, quality-assured drugs, and financial assistance to all TB patients under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP).

100-Day TB Elimination Campaign:

As part of its commitment to eliminating TB, the Government of India launched a 100-Day Intensified Campaign on TB Elimination, which started on December 7, 2024.

Focus on Vulnerable Populations:

The campaign aims to improve case detection, reduce diagnostic delays, and enhance treatment outcomes, particularly for vulnerable populations.

What are the Salaam Namaste initiative and step taken by this community radio in this journey:

Salaam Namaste is a community based radio which runs many campaigns. Which covers very serious issues which India is currently facing.

On 29th March , 2025 Office of District Magistrate Gautam Buddha nagar Invited Salaam Namaste as a guest and to celebrate the accomplishment of “TB samman karyakaram” aim to decreasing the case of TB and to aware the people of district to get a check up if they feel any symptoms.

Whole Salaam Namaste team got felicitated at the DM office for there Dedication and commitment to this program.

Lok Kala Sanskriti Mahakumbh

  Sangeetika Academy of Performing Arts, Delhi in collaboration with Van Kanya Arts and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam  Trust is doing Bhartiya Kala Sanskriti Mahakumbh at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, Delhi during 12-16 November 2026. This event is being organised in memory of renowned Kathak Guru Jitendra Maharaj ji by his disciples primarily by Padma Shri awardee Kathak dancers Nalini Kamalini. This event aims to bring forward the artistic and cultural fabric of India in its full glory. The event will have performances by classical dancers as well as folk dancers.       Swachh Survekshan is an annual survey of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in cities and towns across India, initiated by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM). The survey aims to encourage cities to improve their service delivery to promote cleanliness, waste management, and overall sanitation. In the Swachh Survekshan 2023 rankings, Noida was recognized as the cleanest city in Uttar Pradesh, achieving the 14th position nationally among cities with a population over 1 lakh.
