IMS Noida Champions a A dowry-Free India.

Objective: To raise awareness about the dowry system and its detrimental effects, and to encourage individuals to take a stand against this social evil.

Pledge Taking Ceremony: 
 Pledge Taking Ceremony: The core of the program was a solemn pledge-taking ceremony. Participants, including students, faculty, and staff, voluntarily recited the "Dowry-Free India Pledge." This pledge encompassed a commitment to:
   * Refrain from giving or taking dowry.
   * Actively oppose dowry practices.
   * Educate others about the ill effects of dowry.
   * Promote healthy family relationships free from dowry.
   * Contribute to building a dowry-free India.
 * Awareness Activities: The program featured various activities aimed at raising awareness about the dowry system.
Conclusion:
The Dowry-Free India program at IMS Noida was a commendable initiative that contributed significantly to raising awareness and fostering a commitment to fight against the dowry system.   Sangeetika Academy of Performing Arts, Delhi in collaboration with Van Kanya Arts and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam  Trust is doing Bhartiya Kala Sanskriti Mahakumbh at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, Delhi during 12-16 November 2026. This event is being organised in memory of renowned Kathak Guru Jitendra Maharaj ji by his disciples primarily by Padma Shri awardee Kathak dancers Nalini Kamalini. This event aims to bring forward the artistic and cultural fabric of India in its full glory. The event will have performances by classical dancers as well as folk dancers.       Swachh Survekshan is an annual survey of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in cities and towns across India, initiated by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM). The survey aims to encourage cities to improve their service delivery to promote cleanliness, waste management, and overall sanitation. In the Swachh Survekshan 2023 rankings, Noida was recognized as the cleanest city in Uttar Pradesh, achieving the 14th position nationally among cities with a population over 1 lakh.
