On March 17, 2024, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Ghaziabad, organized an engaging and informative workshop at Eastend Apartments Society, Ghaziabad, with support of outreach Partner Salaam Namaste Community Radio to promote consumer awareness. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents, particularly the youth, who played a pivotal role in spreading awareness about standards and consumer rights.

The speakers highlighted the crucial role of standards in promoting consumer safety and trust, while also introducing the audience to the BIS Care App—a user-friendly platform for verifying product certifications and raising grievances.

Residents, especially the youth, showcased their creativity through vibrant artworks and impactful slogans and engaging skit, emphasizing the importance of standards and consumer awareness.

The open mic session was a standout moment, with young participants passionately expressing their thoughts on the relevance of standards in daily life. Their ideas and energy created an inspiring environment, highlighting the youth's commitment to creating a well-informed society.
* Felicitation Ceremony:
To honor the efforts of the participants, Mrs. Poonam Narain, a renowned artist judged and presented awards and certificates for Best Jago speaker, Best Jago Art, Best Jago Slogan, for encouraging the community to stay engaged and informed.
