RWA Workshop at Aditya Megacity
On 19th January 2025, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), in collaboration with its outreach partner Salaam Namaste Community Radio Station (CRS), conducted a highly engaging RWA Sensitization Program at Aditya Megacity Society, Indirapuram. The event aimed to raise awareness about the significance of Indian Standards and their impact on everyday life.
The program kicked off with a warm introduction by the enthusiastic team of Salaam Namaste Radio, setting the tone for an enlightening session. The event officially commenced with a solemn pledge underscoring the importance of adhering to Indian Standards for a better and safer community. This was followed by a captivating recital of Manak Kavita by Rekha Jha, which resonated deeply with the attendees.
*Open Discussion and Interactive Sessions*
The heart of the program was an open discussion session led by Karishma, Soumya, and Aditi. The trio facilitated an engaging dialogue on the relevance of standards in daily life and encouraged community members to share their insights. The students of Sundarshan Bal Vidyalaya, Vasundhara, added a creative touch to the event with an impressive model showcase, demonstrating innovative ways standards can be applied practically.
In an interactive session, members of the Apartment Owners Association (AOA) and other community participants actively voiced their thoughts, making the discussion highly dynamic and inclusive. This session highlighted the collective effort needed to promote and implement Indian Standards within residential communities.
*BIS Care App Awareness*
A special open mic session was organized to introduce the BIS Care App. Participants were informed about the app’s features, including how it helps consumers verify standards and ensure product authenticity. The session encouraged attendees to utilize the app as a tool for promoting quality assurance.
*A Gesture of Gratitude*
The program concluded with a note of gratitude, as participants and AOA members were felicitated for their active participation. Their involvement underscored the success of the initiative, leaving everyone inspired to uphold the principles of Indian Standards in their daily lives.
The event not only sensitized the community about the importance of standards but also fostered a spirit of collective responsibility. It was a testament to how outreach initiatives can bring about meaningful change at the grassroots level.
