Manak Events and RWA Workshops
*Celebrating Standards and Unity: Preparatory Events for Manak Carnival by Salaam Namaste CRS*
In a remarkable effort to celebrate the 78th Foundation Day of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Salaam Namaste Community Radio Station (CRS) organized a series of six impactful preparatory events under the banner of RWA Workshops. These events were supported by BIS Ghaziabad and successfully mobilized diverse communities to spread awareness about the importance of Indian Standards and sustainability. Here’s a glimpse into these vibrant gatherings:
*1. Aditya Megacity Society, Indirapuram – 29th December 2024*
The first event set the tone for the celebrations with participation from the local community and residents of Makhanpur village. A Manak Art Competition saw 30 students creatively expressing the theme: Manak Parv Hum Sabka Garv. The enthusiasm was palpable as Mrs. Sarita Ma’am was felicitated as the coordinator, alongside the winners, for their dedication to promoting the values of BIS.
*2. Niho Scottish Garden, Indirapuram – 3rd January 2025*
The second event resonated with vibrancy as the NGO Masti Ki Pathshala performed the Manak Veer Song, alongside promoting the Eco Mark by crafting eco-friendly products. In collaboration with Nari Shakti Association, a Manak Walk was organized, emphasizing the significance of Indian Standards. A pledge for a standardized India and a plantation drive rounded off this impactful gathering, highlighting sustainability and community-driven action.
*3. Fortune Residency Society, Raj Nagar – 4th January 2025*
The third event focused on sensitizing ground and support staff about BIS standards. A signature competition encouraged participants, including AOA members and senior citizens, to spread awareness about checking standardized marks on mobiles before purchase. The event emphasized empowering individuals to make informed consumer choices.
*4. VVIP Society, Raj Nagar – 4th January 2025*
Residents of the VVIP Society came together for a Manak Art Competition, drawing families into a collective celebration of Indian Standards. The event also featured a Nukkad Natak titled Shriman and Shrimati Ji, humorously portraying the importance of purchasing standardized products. Winners and society leaders, including AOA members and the President, were felicitated.
*5. Parsvnath Majestic Floors Society, Indirapuram – 6th January 2025*
The fifth event embraced creativity with Manak Musicals. The Sanskar Vaibhav Group captivated the audience with Manak Kavita—poems and musicals celebrating BIS standards and the BIS Care App. The artistic performances highlighted the significance of authenticity and quality in everyday products.
*6. Angel Jupiter Society, Indrapuram – 6th January 2025*
The final event involved ground and support staff in an engaging Manak Art Competition. A pledge for standardized India was taken, and the Manak Natika titled Manak Mehta Ka Manak Chashma was performed, portraying a family’s quest for genuine products and how BIS builds consumer trust.
*Impactful Outcomes*
Each event emphasized awareness and education about the importance of Indian Standards in everyday life. From art competitions to musicals, from pledges to plantation drives, every activity was aimed at fostering a sense of responsibility and pride among participants. Winners were felicitated, making the events more inspiring and encouraging widespread participation.
Through these six workshops, Salaam Namaste CRS, with the support of BIS Ghaziabad, successfully engaged diverse communities, promoting the essence of quality, trust, and sustainability.
