*Manak Yuva Icon Campaign: Inspiring Youth Towards Quality Standards* 

On 16th December 2024, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, successfully conducted the Manak Yuva Icon Campaign at _JKG International School_ , Vijay Nagar. The event was organized with the invaluable support of the community outreach partner, _Salaam Namaste Radio_ , and aimed to sensitize youth about the importance of quality standards under the theme " _Manak Ko Pehchano, Jago Yuva Jago"._ 

 *Distinguished Guests and Opening* 

The event saw the presence of eminent dignitaries, including:


* Dr. Karun Gaur, Director, JKG International, Vijay Nagar
* Ms. Anju Gaur, Principal, JKG International, Vijay Nagar

* Mr. Ayush Raj, Standard Promotion Offcer, Bureau of Indian Standards, Ghaziabad

The program began with auspicious Lamp Lighting, and Welcome of the guests with a green token followed by a keynote address and an engaging session led by Ms. Barsha Chabaria, Station Head of Salaam Namaste Radio, who captivated the audience with a thought-provoking story emphasizing the importance of standards in daily life.

 *Key Highlights* 

The event featured a series of interactive and impactful activities:

 _Manak Jingle Performance:_

 A musical note resonated in the hall as Avinash Mishra performed the "Manak Jingle," capturing the spirit of BIS and its mission to uphold quality and safety standards.

 _Address to Students:_ 

Mr. Ayush Raj, SPO, BIS Ghaziabad, delivered an insightful talk, highlighting the role of BIS, its meticulous processes, and how standards play an essential role in ensuring quality and safety in everyday life. He shared practical examples to help students connect with the importance of adhering to standards.

 _Recognition of Art and Talent:_ 

Students showcased their creativity through vibrant artworks related to the theme of quality standards.

The Top 10 participants were felicitated with medals for their outstanding efforts.

The Top 2 winners of Manak Art, Avantika Sahani and Anshika Gupta were awarded for their exceptional contributions.

The prestigious Manak Yuva Icon Award was presented to Keshav and Saima, recognized as the epitome of youth leadership and awareness towards quality.

 *Conclusion and Acknowledgment* 

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks extended to the distinguished guests and contributors. Tokens of appreciation were presented to the esteemed guests, acknowledging their support and presence.

The Manak Yuva Icon Campaign successfully achieved its objective of empowering and educating the youth, ensuring they recognize the importance of standards and quality in shaping a better future. The collaborative effort between BIS and Salaam Namaste Radio left an inspiring message for the students: " *Manak Ko Pehchano, Jago Yuva Jago!"* 

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Bureau of Indian Standards to fostering a culture of quality consciousness among the youth, ensuring that the leaders of tomorrow embrace standards for a safer and more reliable world.

  Sangeetika Academy of Performing Arts, Delhi in collaboration with Van Kanya Arts and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam  Trust is doing Bhartiya Kala Sanskriti Mahakumbh at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, Delhi during 12-16 November 2026. This event is being organised in memory of renowned Kathak Guru Jitendra Maharaj ji by his disciples primarily by Padma Shri awardee Kathak dancers Nalini Kamalini. This event aims to bring forward the artistic and cultural fabric of India in its full glory. The event will have performances by classical dancers as well as folk dancers.       Swachh Survekshan is an annual survey of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in cities and towns across India, initiated by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM). The survey aims to encourage cities to improve their service delivery to promote cleanliness, waste management, and overall sanitation.
