*Empowering Young Minds: Quality Connect Campaign by BIS at Salaam Namaste CRS* 

On 17th December 2024, Salaam Namaste CRS proudly invited Mr. Harshit Kumar Jain, Deputy Director and Scientist-C, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Noida, along with Mr. Amardeep Jaiswal, Standard Promotion Officer, BIS Noida. The event aimed to celebrate and felicitate the contributions of young minds who actively participated in the Quality Connect Campaign.

 _Mandatory Markings:_ 

CRS Mark and R Number: Essential for all electrical and IT appliances, ensuring compliance with safety norms.

Hallmarking for Purity: For precious metals, hallmarking with the BIS logo, HUID number, and purity grade guarantees genuineness and quality.

 _BIS Foundation Day – 6th January:_ 

Marking this day, he stressed BIS's unwavering commitment to protecting consumer interests.

 _BIS Care App:_ 

To empower consumers, he encouraged everyone to download the BIS Care App, which serves as a tool for verifying product authenticity.

Verify CML Numbers to avoid expired or fake products.

One-Touch Verification for checking genuine products.

Understand product standards and divisions via IS numbers during purchases.

Mr. Jain applauded the youth for being the torchbearers of change. He encouraged participants to spread awareness about the BIS Quality Connect App and educate others about the significance of quality standards.
