 *Celebrating Republic Day with a Salute to Quality: A Special Podcast by Salaam Namaste Community Radio*


On the 76th Republic Day of India, Salaam Namaste Community Radio proudly presented a special podcast, "Mera Bharat, Manako ka Bharat," under the umbrella of "Desh Mera Rangila" in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Noida branch. The podcast featured a distinguished guest, Harshit Kumar Jain, Head of BIS Noida Branch, under the Government of India.

Mr. Harshit Kumar Jain began by wishing the listeners a happy Republic Day and delved into the significance of Indian Standard 1, which provides detailed guidelines for creating the Indian National Flag. This standard encompasses the colors, tones, dimensions, and even the protocol for hoisting the flag. Mr. Harshit Kumar Jain emphasized the importance of adhering to these standards to maintain the dignity and respect of the national flag.

Drawing a parallel between the soldiers guarding the nation's borders and the BIS's role in protecting consumers, Mr. Harshit Kumar Jain highlighted the organization's commitment to ensuring the quality and safety of products. He encouraged listeners to be vigilant and proactive in verifying the authenticity of products, especially those bearing the ISI mark.

Mr. Harshit Kumar Jain introduced the BIS Care App, a powerful tool that enables consumers to verify ISI numbers, Hallmarks, and Registration numbers. This app serves as a shield against fake and hazardous products, empowering consumers to make informed decisions.

  Sangeetika Academy of Performing Arts, Delhi in collaboration with Van Kanya Arts and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam  Trust is doing Bhartiya Kala Sanskriti Mahakumbh at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, Delhi during 12-16 November 2026. This event is being organised in memory of renowned Kathak Guru Jitendra Maharaj ji by his disciples primarily by Padma Shri awardee Kathak dancers Nalini Kamalini. This event aims to bring forward the artistic and cultural fabric of India in its full glory. The event will have performances by classical dancers as well as folk dancers.       Swachh Survekshan is an annual survey of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in cities and towns across India, initiated by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM). The survey aims to encourage cities to improve their service delivery to promote cleanliness, waste management, and overall sanitation. In the Swachh Survekshan 2023 rankings, Noida was recognized as the cleanest city in Uttar Pradesh, achieving the 14th position nationally among cities with a population over 1 lakh.
