 Yuwa4Swachta: A Community Driven Initiative

                                                  


Yuwa4Swachta is a grassroots movement aimed at fostering a culture of cleanliness and environmental awareness in local communities. It's a collaborative effort involving various stakeholders, including:

  •  Youth: The primary drivers of the movement, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and innovative ideas.
  •  Community Leaders: Providing guidance, support, and resources.
  •  Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs): Facilitating partnerships and providing expertise.
  •   Government Agencies: Offering policy support and infrastructure development.

Key Objectives:

  •   Promoting awareness: Educating the community about the importance of cleanliness and its impact on health and well-being.
  •  Community mobilization: Encouraging active participation from individuals and groups in cleanliness drives and initiatives.
  •  Behavioral change: Fostering a sense of responsibility and ownership among community members towards maintaining a clean environment.
  • Sustainable solutions: Implementing long-term strategies for waste management, sanitation, and environmental conservation.

College Initiatives:

Yuwa4Swachta is a powerful example of how communities can come together to create positive change and improve their quality of life. By empowering youth and fostering a sense of collective responsibility, this initiative contributes to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.

  • Salaam Namaste Community Radio is honoured to contribute to “Swachta ka Amrit Mahotsav” and invite esteemed Noida Authority to inspire and motivate students to make Noida the no. 1 city in Swachta Sarvekshan 2024 and take Noida towards garbage free city.
  • Mr. Gaurav Bansal, Project Head at Public Health Department, Noida Authority addressed the young minds at IMS Noida and told about significance of segregating garbage, triple R's and taking initiatives for better waste management.
  • Our community radio station head, Miss Barsha Chabaria interacted with the team of Noida Authority through podcast in which they told us about new step of segregating garbage into five categories- biodegradable waste, nonbiodegradable waste, surgical waste, e-waste and hazardous waste for proper treatment of differentiated waste. They also emphasized upon contribution from each and every hand and take responsibility of reducing garbage, use dustbins and segregating garbage. The team aims to aware everyone about waste management and ways common people can take a role in this and also influencing them to take initiative for creating awareness on how to make Noida, the cleanest city.
  • The yound minds at IMS showed their enthusiasm by getting aware about Swachta Sarvekshan 2024 and by raising awareness through their slogans. More than 100 students participated .
